Intro:

When Travis is chosen as a first round draft pick to be a quarterback for the National Football League, he is thrilled, but as a gay man entering what is definitely considered a “manly man’s sport”, he is also very nervous. Travis has kept his secret for many years, but his attraction to a man his rookie year is stronger than any attraction that he has ever had in the past. With the team well on its way to the playoffs, the attraction grows ever stronger, and Travis wonders how much longer he can keep his secret a secret.

Book Content:

In the testosterone infused world of professional football, there seemed to be no place for a gay man, a gay football player, that is. But that was exactly what Travis was; a gay man, a gay football player, and more importantly, a first round draft pick fresh out of the University of Georgia. Coach Williamson seemed to like Travis a lot, and some may have even gone as far as thinking that the coach favored the young rookie, though he tried not to show favoritism toward any player. Travis liked Coach Williamson. He liked him a lot. At first glance, the coach who was now nearing middle age seemed the perfect image of a typical National Football League (NFL) coach. He was a rugged, masculine individual, with an Adonis-like body fit to live in the temples of the Gods. Coach Williamson stressed physical fitness to his players, and he was right there with them working out, running daily, eating right, and to Travis he was the perfect role model. The coach’s most well known trait from that beautiful body of his was the chest that many of the players, and every one of the cheerleaders, referred to as a “chest of iron and steel.” It was obviously full of nothing but pure, beautiful, hard-earned muscle. With a chest like his, it was hard to ignore the perfect outlines that his hard pecs left along those tight-fitted shirts which bore the team’s logo. Coach Williamson’s powerful, sculpted arms could barely be contained by the thin and pathetic cotton material that comprised the sleeves. Accompanied by strong masculine features, facial hair which was always kept lightly trimmed but never fully shaved off, and a very neatly groomed head of jet black hair, it wasn't difficult for Coach Williamson to attract girls and women, despite the fact that he never really paid that much attention to them.

Travis admired Coach Williamson more than he admired any man. The coach was a dedicated man, and he had a lot of heart for the game of football and, unlike many of the NFL coaches, he had a lot of heart for his players who he considered his family. Although the coach was at times very strict, demanding tedious hours upon hours of practice sessions, he cared very much for the well being of his players and was always the first one onto the field when one of his own was injured.

Travis was a rookie quarterback now, thrilled to have been chosen by one of the most winning teams in the nation. Even though he was second string, the first string quarterback was getting up there in “football years”, and Travis knew that he would be counted upon to take over during the second half of most games and perhaps even chosen to start some of them.

Travis’ career started off strong his first year in the NFL. He loved the roar of the home crowd, and although the team’s games didn't always end in victory, he was a proud member of the team. And despite the bullshit that some of the players said about Coach Williamson’s toughness, Travis admired the man and his dedication to the sport.

Toward midseason, however, it seemed as though the admiration for his coach was leading to something a little more for Travis. It was as if he stared at his coach a little longer than he was supposed to these days, sometimes feeling things that would probably lead to a one-way ticket out of the NFL for sure, urges too powerful to ignore. Travis began to feel a wild sensation in his body whenever he was near his coach that would force him to give a flimsy excuse to run to the bathroom during practice just to stroke away the outrageous, reoccurring fantasies of him and his coach. Of course, the coach never knew about Travis’ fantasies. No one could ever know. Travis would fantasize about him and his coach inside the four walls of his bedroom. The closest that Travis came to being touched by his coach, however, was the standard pat on the ass when he had done a good job.

Travis was good at “playing it straight.” After all, he had had years of practice living this way and he had developed well the art of keeping his erotic thoughts of men to himself. Travis was never without the company of girls at practice or shouts from admiring women fans, who would flock around the young quarterback because he was just so cute. Travis would smile, but for the most part he ignored them. A football player since the age of twelve when Travis had entered middle school, among his most noticeable features was his athletic smooth body. He wasn't as bulky or buff as Coach Williamson or some of the other beefy guys on the team, but a quarterback rarely was. A quarterback needed to be able to move quickly. Beefiness was more of a must for a defensive player. Once the shirt came off of Travis’ back, though, he was nothing but pure toned muscle from his shoulders down to his alluring bony hip curve that led to his washboard abdominals, lined by a trail of hair from his navel down to his crotch region. Travis kept his dark brown hair short and neatly groomed, and with a pair of icy blue eyes that one was sure to remember forever, he was the perfect male for the NFL, particularly one of the so-called “franchise men”, those who could be seen regularly in television commercials, wooed by the many sponsors to showcase their brand during one or more of the prime spots of the NFL games.
